BOOK LISTS
These book lists will help you locate books to teach various literacy skills and topics, as well as fun read aloud selections.
WEBSITES
NoveList: Among its many reader's advisory features, NoveList provides "If You Liked" booklists that students can use to search for books similar to their favorites. NoveList is a great resource for introducing both avid and reluctant readers to books they will enjoy.
Reading Rockets: Extensive resources on a variety of topics related to literacy, such as how to help struggling readers, first-year teaching strategies, and setting up a classroom library.
ReadWorks: Emphasis is on reading comprehension. Resources are cross-organized by reading objective and grade level, complete with units and lessons.
Reading Resource: PDFs and ideas for reading games, fluency ideas, comprehension, inferences, word work, classroom displays and many other resources. Special emphasis on helping struggling readers and children with dyslexia.
ReadKiddoRead: Teacher lesson plan exchange, author interviews, book lists, and more.
