                      About the Media Center

                      Picture
Hours: The media center is open every school day from 8:45 am - 4:00 pm. Students are welcome to check out and return library materials throughout the school day with the permission of their teachers.

Wiley Media Center has an “open circulation” policy, which means that students may visit the media center throughout the school day to return and check out materials. This policy allows the media specialist to collaborate with classroom teachers in a variety of ways and to work with students in classrooms and the media center. Kindergarten classes do have weekly scheduled visits to the media center.

Location: The media center is located just down the hall from the main office and across from the main doors in the building.

Lending Policies: There is no limit on the number of books students may check out from the media center unless one is set by their classroom teacher. Students are encouraged to only check out as many books as they can manage. Parents may want to help students set reasonable limits.

Students are encouraged to return books on time. Those with no overdue items or one overdue item may check out new materials.

Lost or Damaged Library Materials: Students are asked to pay for lost or damaged books and magazines so that we can replace these items. A check made out to Wiley Elementary or cash can be submitted to the media specialist to pay for lost or damaged items.
